These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Modo Próspera Android application, its supporting service, and related public pages (together, the "Service"). The Service is developed and operated by Presupuesto Apps, an individual developer based in Ecuador ("Modo Próspera," "we," or "us").
By downloading or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Mandatory consumer and data-protection rights that apply where you live are not reduced by these Terms.
1. Who may use the Service
You must be an adult and legally able to agree to these Terms. The Service is not directed to children. You may use the Service only where doing so is lawful.
2. What the Service does
Modo Próspera is a personal budgeting and financial-organization tool. The current release lets you record household-authored cash movements, import bank-statement files you choose, review and categorize transactions, close financial periods, and view household spending summaries.
Modo Próspera is not a bank, payment service, lender, broker, investment adviser, accountant, tax adviser, or legal adviser. It does not hold or move money, initiate payments, extend credit, place trades, or guarantee savings or financial outcomes. The current release does not automatically connect to your bank; you choose and upload supported files manually.
Budgets, categories, forecasts, alerts, totals, imports, manual cash records, and suggestions may be incomplete or wrong. A household cash record or seal is information supplied by the household, not verified bank coverage. Check important information against your own records and seek a qualified professional for financial, tax, accounting, investment, or legal decisions.
If you hold a private cash account, its exact net cash amount enters the owner-visible household-close aggregate only when you explicitly consent. The account identity, individual movements, category, description or note, date, and the private movement's income-source selection or association remain private under that consent. Configured income-source names and schedules are existing workspace-shared data. Review the amount and scope before confirming it.
3. Your account and security
You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your device, Google account, and authentication methods secure. Give us accurate information, keep it reasonably current, and tell support promptly if you believe someone accessed your account without permission.
Do not share passwords, PINs, verification codes, session or deletion-recovery credentials, or complete bank statements with support. We will not ask for those secrets by email.
4. Files and information you provide
You keep ownership of information and files you provide. You give us the limited permission needed to receive, process, store, display, protect, and delete them so we can operate the Service as described in the Privacy Policy.
You may upload or enter information only when you have the legal right and authority to do so. Do not upload another person's statement or confidential information without their permission. You are responsible for reviewing an import before accepting it and for correcting categorization or parsing errors.
Do not use the Service to upload malware, probe security controls, interfere with other users, evade limits, impersonate someone, violate law, or infringe another person's privacy or intellectual-property rights.
5. Single-user release and legacy household cleanup
The current protected release is intended for single-user use. It does not let users create or accept household invitations, transfer household ownership, edit per-account sharing permissions, or use multi-party deletion-consent flows. Do not rely on this release for active household collaboration or granular sharing controls.
Limited cleanup remains available for household records created by an earlier version. An effective owner can remove a non-owner member, and a member or View-only user can leave. An owner can also revoke an applicable pending legacy invitation. A successful removal or leave ends that person's household access, revokes active household sessions, and revokes applicable pending invitations; it does not delete the household's own closed months, transactions, or audit history. If another person previously downloaded or captured information, the Service cannot retrieve that external copy.
6. Privacy, exports, and deletion
Our Privacy Policy explains what data the Service processes, why, where it is processed, how long it is kept, and your choices. The release privacy page is https://modoprospera.com/privacidad/?lang=en.
The app provides account export and deletion controls. Deleting a household or account is subject to the confirmations and shared-household safeguards shown in the app. Some minimized security, deletion, and audit evidence may remain as described in the Privacy Policy. A later verified sign-in does not restore data deleted from the earlier account generation. Release deletion instructions are at https://modoprospera.com/eliminar-cuenta/?lang=en.
7. Third-party services
The Service depends on providers such as Google/Firebase and hosting, database, domain, distribution, and infrastructure services. Their own terms may apply to your direct relationship with them. We are responsible for our use of processors as described in the Privacy Policy, but we do not control a third party's separate products, accounts, or availability.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service reliable, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. Maintenance, security response, provider outages, legal requirements, or pre-release testing may limit features. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue a feature or the Service. Where a change materially affects your rights or data, we will provide the notice required by law and update the relevant policy before the change takes effect.
9. License and intellectual property
Subject to these Terms, we give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the released app for lawful personal or household purposes. Modo Próspera's software, branding, designs, and content remain ours or our licensors'. You may not sell, sublicense, copy, reverse engineer, or bypass technical restrictions except where applicable law expressly permits it.
10. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and may use the in-app deletion flow. We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect users or the Service, investigate abuse, comply with law, or address a serious breach of these Terms. When practical and safe, we will explain the action and how to contact us. Suspension does not remove privacy or deletion rights.
Sections that by their nature must survive termination—including ownership, lawful retention, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute terms—continue to apply.
11. Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not warrant that imports, classifications, calculations, forecasts, or suggestions are accurate or suitable for a particular purpose. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or remedy that mandatory consumer law does not allow us to exclude.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential loss, lost profits, or decisions made in reliance on an unverified budget, category, forecast, or imported record. We do not exclude or limit liability where doing so is unlawful, including liability that cannot be excluded for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, personal injury, or mandatory consumer or data-protection obligations.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ecuador, without depriving you of mandatory protections available where you live. Contact support first so we can try to resolve a concern informally; this does not limit your right to contact a regulator, use a legally available consumer process, or bring a claim in a court with mandatory jurisdiction.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service changes. We will change the date above and give additional notice when required. If a material change requires your agreement, we will ask before it applies. Continued use after a non-material update takes effect means the updated Terms govern future use.
15. Contact
For support, privacy, export, deletion, or Terms questions, use the contact shown at https://modoprospera.com/soporte/?lang=en. Do not send passwords, PINs, verification codes, session tokens, or bank-statement files.
